On a cold afternoon last Wednesday our children gathered to race against children from Scoil Mológa and Gaelscoil Bharra. With low temperatures and soft ground, a big crowd gathered between racers and spectators.
The emphasis was on teams and not individuals and points were scored depending on where a runner finished. The results are as follows:-
Rás 1- Cailíní <10- 400m- Gaelscoil Bharra (1) Scoil Mológa (2) Gaelscoil Inse Chór (3)
Rás 2 Buachaillí < 10- 500m- Gaelscoil Inse Chór (1),Gaelscoil Bharra (2) Scoil Mológa (3)
Rás 3 Cailíní > 10 500m- Scoil Mológa(1) Gaelscoil Inse Chór (2) Gaelscoil Bharra (3)
Rás 4 Buachaillí >10 600m- Scoil Mológa(1)Gaelscoil Inse Chór(2)Gaelscoil Bharra(3)
With results evenly spread across the schools we will explore the possibility of another meeting of these schools before the Cross-Country blitz planned for March.
